Rapeseed Oil · Manufacturing enquiries

Crude Rapeseed Oil

Our crude rapeseed oil manufacturing enquiries start with the receiving processor's intake specification. Define extraction, degumming and fatty-acid class separately; the description crude rapeseed oil does not by itself establish low-erucic or canola identity.

Specifications and buying requirements

Illustrative RFQ targets and purchasing requirements, subject to production or supply confirmation and buyer approval. These are not a stock COA or a universal grade. Specify the reporting basis, sampling and test method; the accepted offer defines the final quality and delivery limits. Illustrative RFQ values for further processing. The agreed grade, analytical methods and end-use requirements control acceptance; this table is not a certificate of edible suitability.

Crude rapeseed oil: indicative procurement specification
ParameterIndicative RFQ target
Extraction methodMechanically extracted or solvent-extracted; declare the actual route
Degumming stateUn-degummed or degummed, explicitly identified
Free fatty acids (FFA)Example: maximum 2.0% by mass, expressed as oleic acid
Moisture and volatile matterExample: maximum 0.20% by mass
Insoluble impuritiesExample: maximum 0.10% by mass
PhosphorusReport mg/kg; contract maximum set against refinery intake and degumming state
Erucic acidReport % of total fatty acids; classify against the buyer's declared use
Oxidation and colourReport peroxide value and named colour test; agree receiving limits
Residual solvent and contaminantsRoute-specific declaration and an agreed analytical panel

Applications

Common uses

For edible-oil refining when source, chemistry and food-chain requirements are documented, or for separately contracted industrial conversion. The receiving process determines the required intake quality. Buying detail: State the required rapeseed class, refinery location and permissible phosphorus level. If a canola claim is required, include source-identity evidence in addition to the oil's erucic-acid result.

Export planning

Shipping & logistics

Export volume and route determine whether bulk tanks, drums or IBCs are appropriate. Agree previous-cargo acceptance, cleanliness, sampling and documents; food-refining consignments require a suitable food-contact chain. FOB, CFR or CIF may be offered for appropriate sea routes with a named port and specified Incoterms edition.
