Product overview

Dehulling changes the protein-to-fibre relationship.

Zenith Eclipse supplies sunflower meal and separately identified sunflower expeller or cake to compound-feed manufacturers, premix and ingredient blenders, importers and distributors. Conventional, partially dehulled and dehulled material cannot be compared responsibly without an agreed hull description and analytical limits.

Every quotation states the product identity, extraction route, hull level, physical form, composition basis, quantity, packaging, shipment period, Incoterms® rule, safety scope and documents. No universal protein grade, stock position, certification, minimum order or pack size is implied.

Applications

Sunflower Meal selected for the way your operation uses it.

01

Ruminant compound feed

A protein-and-fibre feed material evaluated within professionally balanced dairy, beef and other ruminant rations.

02

Poultry compound feed

Considered when the complete formula's amino-acid, fibre, energy and processing requirements support the offered specification.

03

Swine compound feed

Used only at levels determined for the animal class from the lot analysis and complete-ration nutrient profile.

04

Aquaculture and specialty feed

Evaluated under species-specific formulation, processing, safety and destination authorization requirements.

Contract specification

Contract the hull grade, process and analysis together.

A dehulled label does not prove zero hulls or a universal protein value, and a process name does not guarantee residual oil. Place every result on the same analytical basis and record the method, tolerance and acceptance rule before comparing offers.

01

Quality control & handling

Release each lot against one comparable analytical basis.

The signed specification controls hull description, extraction route, physical form, protein, fibre, residual oil, moisture, ash and relevant safety criteria. Sampling, methods, tolerance, retesting and dispute procedures should be agreed before loading.

Clean, dry, ventilated storage and transport protect against water ingress, condensation, heating, infestation and foreign odours. Lot identity should follow the material through receipt and use, while a qualified nutritionist determines species suitability and inclusion rate.

  • Hull and process identity confirmed
  • Protein, fibre, fat and moisture basis aligned
  • Lot and COA references matched
  • Independent inspection available when contracted
02

Export documentation

Name every analysis and declaration in the contract.

The document package can include the signed specification or technical data sheet, lot COA with methods and reporting basis, traceability record, process statement and contracted feed-safety reports. Special status claims are included only with current, applicable evidence.

Commercial and destination documents may include the invoice, packing or weight list, transport document, certificate of origin, inspection record, and applicable feed, health or import declarations. Issuer, original or electronic format and timing are agreed before shipment.

03

Packaging & order formats

Match loose meal, cake or pellets to the receiving system.

Bulk loose loading, suitable lined containers, flexible intermediate bulk containers or industrial bags can be reviewed according to producer capability, quantity and route. The written offer controls actual availability.

Pack type, net weight, tolerance, closure, palletization, marks, label language and liner are specified. Pellets require dimensions and fines tolerance; meal and cake require an agreed particle or handling description when relevant.

04

Logistics & Incoterms

Control moisture, fines and identity in transit.

Vehicles, containers, holds, silos and handling equipment are checked for cleanliness, dryness, structural condition, pests, odour, water risk and previous-cargo compatibility. Lot, seal and weight records are coordinated as contracted.

The quotation identifies the Incoterms® 2020 rule and named place or port, loading and delivery window, mode, inspection point, insurance responsibility and required transport and customs documents.

What we supply

Sunflower meal variants by hull level and process

Terminology varies by jurisdiction, so the contract combines the legal feed-material name with a commercial hull description and measurable composition limits.

01

With-hulls extracted meal

Whole-seed-derived extracted meal with fibre controlled by the contracted maximum rather than inferred from its name.

02

Partially dehulled extracted meal

Meal produced after partial hull removal, with hull description, protein and fibre limits agreed.

03

Dehulled extracted meal

Hull-reduced material specified by measurable analysis; the label does not imply a universal grade.

04

Sunflower expeller or cake

Mechanically pressed material with process, residual oil and physical form stated separately.

05

Pelleted sunflower meal

Compacted meal whose underlying identity, pellet dimensions, fines and processing aids remain declared.

Why Zenith Eclipse

Buying detail that reduces assumptions.

01

Precise hull identity

With-hulls, partially dehulled and dehulled descriptions remain distinct.

02

Process transparency

Extracted meal and mechanically pressed cake are not treated as equivalents.

03

Comparable composition

Protein, fibre, fat and moisture use the same basis and named methods.

04

Contract-ready acceptance

Limits, tolerances, sampling and document requirements are agreed before loading.

05

Feed-use discipline

Applications are framed for professional formulation without blanket performance claims.

06

Logistics fit

Form, pack, route and receiving constraints are resolved in the commercial offer.

Sunflower Meal supplier FAQs

Answers procurement teams need before booking.

01What is sunflower meal?+

It is a feed material produced after oil removal from sunflower seed. Hull level, extraction route, processing and physical form define the exact commercial product.

02How do with-hulls, partially dehulled and dehulled grades differ?+

They differ in hull removal. Because terminology varies, contract the hull description and crude-fibre maximum instead of relying on the grade name alone.

03How does extracted meal differ from expeller or cake?+

Extracted meal and mechanically pressed expeller follow different oil-removal routes. The actual residual oil, protein, fibre and moisture still require analysis.

04Are sunflower meal pellets a separate nutritional grade?+

No. Pellets describe a compacted form. The underlying meal identity, hull level, composition, dimensions, fines and processing aids still need to be declared.

05How should offers be compared?+

Align every protein, fibre, fat and moisture result to the same as-received or dry-matter basis and use agreed analytical methods.

06Can one inclusion rate be used for every animal feed?+

No. Inclusion depends on the exact composition, species, life stage, total formula, processing needs and local rules, as assessed by a qualified nutritionist.

07Which documents can accompany an order?+

The contract can require a specification, lot COA, traceability and process records, commercial documents and destination-specific feed or import declarations.

08What information is needed for an accurate quote?+

Send the destination, process, hull grade, analytical targets and basis, form, quantity, packaging, schedule, Incoterm and document requirements.
