Product overview

Protein percentage alone does not define soybean meal.

Zenith Eclipse supplies soybean meal to compound-feed manufacturers, ingredient blenders, importers and distributors. Solvent-extracted and expeller material, dehulled and hull-retaining meal, and meal versus full-fat soy are commercially different products with different composition and processing controls.

Every quotation identifies extraction process, hull status, heat-treatment evidence when required, protein, fibre, residual oil, moisture basis, form, quantity, packing, shipment period, Incoterms® rule, tests and documents. Common percentage labels are not published as universal Zenith grades.

Applications

Soybean Meal selected for the way your operation uses it.

01

Poultry compound feed

A plant-protein input for professionally formulated broiler, layer and breeder feeds under phase- and destination-specific requirements.

02

Swine compound feed

Used in balanced diets where the selected meal's amino-acid, fibre, heat-treatment and safety profile fits the formulation.

03

Ruminant concentrates

Evaluated within complete dairy, beef and other ruminant rations using the current lot analysis.

04

Aquaculture feed

Considered after species-specific review of composition, fibre, processing indicators, residual antinutritional factors and local authorization.

Contract specification

Separate process, hull status and heat treatment before comparing grades.

A protein label without fibre, residual oil, moisture basis and analytical method does not create a comparable offer. Urease, trypsin-inhibitor activity and protein-solubility measures answer different processing questions; no single result alone proves ideal heat treatment.

Quality control & handling

Heat-processing evidence needs more than one shortcut.

Appropriate heat treatment helps control native soybean antinutritional factors. Urease activity is a useful process indicator, but it does not directly replace trypsin-inhibitor testing, and a very low value alone cannot rule out excessive heating. Where relevant, the contract combines agreed indicators with protein, fibre, oil, moisture and safety results.

Representative sampling, named methods and lot-linked evidence control acceptance. Clean, dry storage and transport protect against moisture migration, heating, caking, infestation and foreign odours; agricultural dust is managed under the receiving facility's risk controls.

  • Extraction and hull status verified
  • Heat-treatment methods and units stated
  • Lot COA matched to transport records
  • Retest and dispute rules agreed before shipment
02

Export documentation

Keep process, analysis and special claims auditable.

The contracted package can include the technical specification, lot COA, process and heat-treatment declaration, traceability statement, safety reports and handling information. Origin, identity-preserved, non-GMO, organic or food-grade claims appear only when specifically ordered and supported by valid evidence.

Commercial and border documents may include the invoice, packing or weight list, transport document, certificate of origin, inspection certificate and applicable feed, health, phytosanitary or import records. Feed-grade meal is not automatically suitable for human food.

03

Packaging & order formats

Define the form and receiving method in the same offer.

Bulk hopper or tipper movements, rail or vessel parcels, suitable lined containers, flexible intermediate bulk containers and industrial bags can be reviewed according to producer and route capability. No format is promised until quoted.

The offer states meal, pellets, cake or chips; particle or pellet specification; net weight; tolerance; liner; palletization; marks; label language; loading method and any minimum-order condition.

04

Logistics & Incoterms

Protect the lot from origin release to receiving silo.

Transport equipment is checked for cleanliness, dryness, structural condition, water-ingress risk, pests, odour and previous-cargo compatibility. Lot, seal, weight, sampling and inspection records follow the agreed booking instructions.

The quotation identifies the Incoterms® 2020 rule and exact named place or port, mode, loading and delivery period, title and risk handoffs, insurance responsibility, inspection point and document timing.

What we supply

Soybean meal forms by extraction and hull status

Availability is confirmed per offer. Toasted full-fat soy retains substantially more native oil and remains a separate product, not a soybean-meal variant.

01

Hull-retaining extracted meal

Solvent-extracted meal with hull status declared and fibre controlled by the contract.

02

Dehulled extracted meal

Hull-reduced meal specified by protein, fibre, residual oil, moisture and process indicators.

03

Pelleted extracted meal

Compacted meal with the underlying grade, pellet dimensions, fines and processing additions stated.

04

Ground soybean expeller

Mechanically pressed meal with residual oil, heat treatment and particle profile defined.

05

Soybean press cake or chips

Coarse mechanically pressed material quoted under its own identity and handling specification.

Why Zenith Eclipse

Buying detail that reduces assumptions.

01

Variant clarity

Extraction process, hull status and physical form are separated before quotation.

02

Like-for-like analysis

Protein, fibre, oil and moisture use one declared reporting basis.

03

Heat-treatment visibility

Buyers can specify urease, trypsin-inhibitor and protein-condition evidence where relevant.

04

Lot-level verification

Acceptance can be tied to the shipment COA and representative sampling.

05

Controlled claims

Origin, certification and identity-preserved status appear only with evidence.

06

Logistics alignment

Form, pack, route, destination and transfer terms are captured before quotation.

Soybean Meal supplier FAQs

Answers procurement teams need before booking.

01What is soybean meal?+

It is the soybean material remaining after oil removal and appropriate processing. The exact product depends on extraction, hull status, heat treatment, composition and form.

02How do solvent-extracted and expeller meal differ?+

Solvent and mechanical extraction remove oil differently. Expeller material generally retains more oil, but the contracted residual-oil value and method control the comparison.

03How does dehulled meal differ from hull-retaining meal?+

Dehulling removes fibre-rich outer material and commonly reduces fibre. The actual protein and fibre guarantees remain decisive.

04Are common protein percentages universal grades?+

No. Regional labels can carry different fibre, oil, moisture bases and tolerances. Contract the exact protein minimum, fibre maximum, basis and method.

05Is soybean meal the same as full-fat soy?+

No. Meal follows oil removal. Toasted full-fat soy is heat-treated whole soybean material retaining substantially more native oil.

06How is heat treatment assessed?+

Urease is a common process indicator, trypsin-inhibitor activity measures a specific antinutritional factor, and other methods can evaluate protein condition. Use the agreed combination and units.

07Can feed-grade soybean meal be used in human food?+

Not by assumption. Food use requires a separately accepted food-grade product, suitable facility controls, allergen and traceability documents, packaging and destination-law review.

08How are origin, certifications, MOQ and price confirmed?+

They are order-specific and appear only in the written offer after the process, analysis, quantity, form, route, destination and evidence requirements are known.
