02

Contract specification

ICUMSA 45, S30 and branded sugar are not interchangeable specifications.

ICUMSA 45 mainly identifies a colour limit, while S30 is a commonly traded Indian crystal-sugar grade designation. Neither term alone defines every quality factor. The commercial offer, signed specification and certificate of analysis should state the applicable limits, methods, tolerances, origin and lot identity.

01

Quality control & handling

Release each sugar lot against the signed specification.

Quality review begins with the buyer-approved grade and analytical limits. The agreed sampling and testing scope can cover colour, polarization, moisture, reducing sugars, ash, sulphur dioxide, grain size, appearance and destination food-safety requirements.

Dry, clean and food-compatible storage and loading help protect the product from moisture, infestation, foreign odours and cross-contamination. Where included in the commercial scope, a certificate of analysis and independent inspection should identify the relevant lot or shipment.

  • Signed specification before booking
  • Lot or shipment identity maintained
  • Food-compatible storage and loading controls
  • Independent inspection available when agreed
02

Export documentation

Confirm the document matrix before the sugar is packed.

The final document set depends on origin, destination, payment method and contract scope. It can include a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, transport document, certificate of analysis or quality certificate, health or sanitary documents where applicable, and an agreed inspection certificate.

Brand, producer, halal, food-safety, origin or other declarations are included only when they apply to the exact offered product and current supporting evidence is available. The written quotation identifies what is included.

03

Packaging & order formats

Match sugar packaging to handling, resale and receiving needs.

Depending on source capability and order volume, sugar may be offered in 25 kg or 50 kg polypropylene bags, lined or unlined formats as agreed, jumbo bags for industrial buyers, or approved buyer-branded and private-label packaging. Full-container and larger-volume programmes are reviewed case by case.

Net weight, tolerance, bag construction, liner, closure, palletization, labels, batch marks and shipping marks are agreed before packing. No format is presented as universally available across every origin or grade.

04

Logistics & Incoterms

Connect the sugar contract to a workable delivery plan.

EXW, FCA, FOB, CFR, CIF or another suitable Incoterms® 2020 rule can be reviewed according to the source and route. The quotation states the named place or port, shipment window, freight scope, insurance responsibility and destination requirements.

Zenith Eclipse can coordinate container planning, export documentation, inspection, ocean freight and delivery to the agreed point where feasible. Product availability, loading readiness, container condition, weight limits, port rules and customs requirements are checked against the proposed schedule.

Sugar supplier FAQs

Answers procurement teams need before booking.

01What is ICUMSA 45 sugar?+

ICUMSA 45 is a commercial description commonly used for refined white sugar with a contracted maximum colour of 45 ICUMSA units. A complete contract should also define polarization, moisture, ash, reducing sugars, grain size, applicable methods and other buyer requirements.

02Can I buy ICUMSA 45 sugar in bulk?+

Zenith Eclipse reviews full-container and larger B2B ICUMSA 45 enquiries. Send the required quantity, packaging, destination, shipment period and delivery term so current source availability can be checked.

03What is the difference between ICUMSA 45 and Indian S30 sugar?+

ICUMSA 45 primarily identifies a refined-sugar colour limit. S30 is a commonly used Indian white crystal sugar grade designation. They are not interchangeable; the commercial offer and certificate of analysis must define the contracted quality.

04Do you supply Indian S30 sugar?+

Indian S30 sugar can be sourced subject to mill allocation, production position, the export regulations in force, required packaging and written supplier confirmation for the requested shipment window.

05Can Zenith Eclipse supply Al Khaleej Sugar?+

Zenith Eclipse can check availability through its supply network. Any offer, authenticity evidence, origin documentation and delivery schedule must be confirmed in writing. Reference to Al Khaleej Sugar does not imply an authorised distributorship, agency or partnership.

06Is the displayed sugar rate the final purchase price?+

No. When the market-data connection is active, the displayed figure is an indicative U.S. ICE sugar futures benchmark under the provider’s generic SUGAR symbol. It is not an ICUMSA 45, S30 or Zenith Eclipse selling price. A physical quotation also reflects grade, origin, supplier premium, packaging, freight, insurance, inspection, duties and destination costs.

07Which packaging and delivery terms are available?+

Possible formats include 25 kg or 50 kg bags, jumbo bags and eligible private-label packaging. EXW, FCA, FOB, CFR or CIF terms can be reviewed depending on the source, route, quantity and destination.

08Which documents can accompany a sugar shipment?+

Depending on the contract and destination, the set can include an invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, transport document, certificate of analysis or quality certificate and agreed health, sanitary or inspection records.
