Door-to-Port and Port-to-Door Freight
Door-to-port and port-to-door freight let buyers retain control of one inland side while Zenith Eclipse coordinates the agreed remainder. A named port alone is insufficient: the terminal, cargo status and precise transfer event determine where the service begins or ends.

The quotation identifies whether main carriage and terminal handling are included. These service descriptions are not Incoterms® rules.

When to use this service
Useful when a buyer has an established local transport contract, or a seller manages factory collection but needs the overseas leg coordinated.
Execution and deliverables
How the work is coordinated
Before dispatch, the parties exchange booking references, cutoff details and the receiving carrier’s instructions. Port arrival, cargo availability and customs release are treated as separate events. The next carrier must know when collection is permitted and which charges or documents remain outstanding. Any change to the agreed terminal or handover point requires a scope and price review.
Prepare your enquiry
State the direction, exact door address, port and terminal if known, cargo profile, shipment window and nominated carrier for the retained leg. Include the sales-contract Incoterms® rule and named place. Ask for origin, ocean, destination and inland charges to be separated for comparison.
