Freight and Handoff Coordination
Zenith Eclipse aligns the information and decisions connecting forwarders, carriers, brokers, terminals, warehouses and receivers. The service focuses on each handoff's readiness and evidence so an update from one provider becomes an actionable instruction for the next authorized party.
Scope and responsibilities
Service scope and requirements
The written scope identifies the parties, lanes and decisions included. Each provider retains the responsibilities assigned in its own contract and operating role.
| Scope item | Requirement or agreed coverage |
|---|---|
| Shipment identity | Order references linked to booking, transport-document and cargo-unit identifiers. |
| Milestone dictionary | Clear meanings for planned, estimated, confirmed and completed events. |
| Handoff requirements | Documents, release permissions and physical readiness needed at each interface. |
| Responsibility matrix | Event source, next-action owner and approval authority for changes. |
| Time controls | Relevant cut-offs, delivery appointments and escalation deadlines. |
| Exception evidence | Affected shipment, source record, current consequence and recovery decision needed. |
| Event reporting | Occurrence time, update time and outstanding verification clearly distinguished. |
| Closure record | Delivery evidence, remaining discrepancies and accepted completion status. |
Best-fit requirements
When to use this service
Useful where a shipment crosses several contracted providers and missed notifications, inconsistent references or unclear release responsibility cause avoidable handoff delays.
Execution and deliverables
How the work is coordinated
The client and participating providers agree the event sources and escalation process before operation. We coordinate missing inputs and record approved decisions. Updates can use agreed files or reports; automated tracking, customs authority and system integrations require separate arrangements and are not inferred from a milestone tracker.
Prepare your enquiry
Send the lanes, monthly shipment profile, provider list and current reporting examples. Identify critical handoffs, operating hours, decision-makers and required proof of completion. The proposal defines coordination coverage, reporting cadence and any transport procurement or execution included.
