When to use this service
Suitable for repeat inland flows and longer-distance shipments where available terminals can support the cargo and order pattern. Low linehaul pricing alone may not justify rail if extra handling, road distance or inventory delay outweighs the benefit.

How the work is coordinated
Validate the proposed terminals and load-transfer process before booking the connected legs. Record the unit or package identifiers used at each handoff and allocate responsibility for missed cutoffs. Movement in the same loading unit without handling the goods at mode changes is intermodal; the number of contracts does not define that distinction.
