Air cargo pallets being handled beside a freighter aircraft for an international air freight quotation

International air cargo quote

Request a comparable international air freight quote.

Share the route, cargo, piece-level dimensions, readiness and handling requirements. We will assess feasible service options and return the rate basis, scope, assumptions and next actions together.

Quotation overview

Compare air-freight options on one complete commercial basis.

An air-freight price is useful only when every option is based on the same cargo, route, timing and commercial scope. A complete brief lets Zenith Eclipse compare the chargeable-weight basis, gateways, planned routing, service level, included local services and handling requirements without hiding material assumptions.

Quoted rates, capacity, cutoffs, flight plans, transit estimates and cargo acceptance remain subject to the selected airline, handling agents, authorities and current lane conditions until confirmed. Dangerous goods, lithium or sodium-ion batteries, temperature-sensitive cargo and charter requests require complete disclosure and specialist acceptance before booking.

Build a usable RFQ

Air freight pricing starts with package-level facts.

Complete the shipment brief and attach any records that affect rating, handling or carrier acceptance. We will ask before assuming when an essential detail is unclear.

  1. 01
    Route and quotation scope

State the pickup address, origin airport if known, destination airport, final delivery address and whether the request is airport-to-airport, door-to-airport, airport-to-door or door-to-door.

  2. 02
    Cargo identity

Provide an accurate goods description, intended use and HS code where available; avoid vague descriptions such as parts, samples or general goods.

  3. 03
    Pieces and packaging

Confirm total pieces, package type, palletization, stackability and whether any packages must remain upright or separated.

Procurement checklist

Send a comparable air-freight RFQ.

Complete package data helps the commercial and operations teams assess rating, routing and acceptance on the same basis.

01

Route and quotation scope

State the pickup address, origin airport if known, destination airport, final delivery address and whether the request is airport-to-airport, door-to-airport, airport-to-door or door-to-door.

02

Cargo identity

Provide an accurate goods description, intended use and HS code where available; avoid vague descriptions such as parts, samples or general goods.

03

Pieces and packaging

Confirm total pieces, package type, palletization, stackability and whether any packages must remain upright or separated.

04

Weights and dimensions

Give the actual gross weight and length, width and height of every package or identical package group, including the largest single-piece weight.

05

Timing requirement

Provide the cargo-ready date, collection window, required delivery date and whether the timing is flexible, date-specific or time-critical.

06

Commercial responsibility

State the Incoterms® rule and named place where applicable, customs-clearance scope, declared value and currency, and whether cargo-insurance review is required.

07

Special handling

Disclose fragility, high value, security restrictions, temperature range, active or passive packaging, non-stackability and any aircraft- or terminal-sensitive dimensions.

08

Regulated cargo records

Identify dangerous-goods status and any battery configuration. Attach available SDS, classification, shipper records, UN 38.3 test summary, packing list or temperature instructions.

Commercial planning

What shapes an air-freight quote?

A valid comparison needs the same cargo, route, service scope, readiness, acceptance controls and quotation period.

  1. 01Actual weight, package dimensions and resulting chargeable weight
  2. 02Origin, destination, selected gateways and connecting points
  3. 03Current airline capacity, operating frequency and cargo-ready date
  4. 04Economy, standard, priority, time-critical or conditional charter requirement
  5. 05Piece count, largest-piece profile, packaging and stackability
  6. 06Dangerous-goods, battery, temperature, security or other special-cargo controls
  7. 07Pickup, export handling, customs coordination and final-delivery scope
  8. 08Airline, fuel, screening, security, terminal, transfer and lane-specific charges

After submission

A clear path from enquiry to confirmed booking.

Submission begins a structured commercial and acceptance review. Each decision is recorded before cargo is released.

01

Brief validation

The team checks that the route, cargo description, pieces, weights, dimensions, dates and requested scope can be compared on one basis.

02

Chargeable-weight review

Actual and volumetric weight are reviewed under the prospective carrier or tariff basis; unclear package data is returned for confirmation.

03

Acceptance screening

Cargo type, dimensions, packaging and disclosed controls are screened for potential airline, handler, aircraft, terminal or regulatory restrictions.

04

Route and capacity enquiry

Feasible scheduled services are compared by gateway, connections, planned timing, handoffs and current capacity. Charter review starts only when relevant.

05

Written quotation

The proposal states the rate basis, routing, planned milestones, validity, inclusions, exclusions, surcharges, assumptions and responsibilities.

06

Approval and booking confirmation

A customer-approved quotation becomes an operational booking only after the selected carrier confirms capacity, cargo acceptance and applicable conditions.

Quotation FAQs

Answers to check before you submit.

01What information is needed for an accurate air-freight quote?+

Provide the route and service scope, cargo description, piece count, packaging, actual weight, dimensions of every package group, readiness date, required delivery date and all special-handling information. Incomplete dimensions or undisclosed cargo controls can materially change the rate or acceptance outcome.

02How is air-freight chargeable weight calculated?+

The applicable pricing weight is generally the higher qualifying actual or volumetric weight under the selected carrier or tariff rules. The quotation will state the rating basis used; do not assume one universal divisor applies to every service or shipment.

03Can Zenith Eclipse quote door-to-door air freight?+

Door-to-door, door-to-airport, airport-to-door and airport-to-airport scopes can be reviewed where the lane and local capability allow. The quotation identifies pickup, terminal, customs and final-delivery responsibilities, together with exclusions and any duties or taxes outside the quoted scope.

04How quickly can the shipment be delivered?+

Planned timing depends on cargo readiness, cutoff, airline acceptance, confirmed capacity, gateway choice, connections, customs and final delivery. Economy, standard, priority and time-critical options can be compared, but uplift and transit are not guaranteed until the relevant carrier commitment is confirmed.

05Can dangerous goods or lithium batteries move by air?+

Eligible shipments can be reviewed only after correct identification and complete disclosure. Classification, battery configuration, test evidence, packaging, marking, labelling, documentation, State and operator variations, route capability and airline acceptance determine whether and how the cargo may move.

06Can temperature-sensitive cargo be quoted?+

Eligible cargo can be assessed when the required temperature range, product sensitivity, qualified packaging method, monitoring plan, handling instructions and acceptable excursion limits are provided. The route remains conditional on suitable airline, facility and handling capability.

07When should a charter be considered?+

Charter or part-charter review may be appropriate when scheduled services cannot reasonably support the dimensions, weight, route, deadline or handling requirement. Feasibility, aircraft choice, airport permission, operator acceptance, positioning and price must all be confirmed for the specific request.

08Does submitting the form guarantee the rate or airline space?+

No. Submission starts a commercial and operational review. The written quotation defines validity and assumptions, while space, uplift, schedule and special-cargo acceptance remain unconfirmed until the selected airline or operator accepts the booking.
