Chemical-Grade Propylene Contract

Chemical-grade propylene is contracted to suit a named downstream process. Zenith Eclipse reviews the acceptable propylene/propane composition and impurity profile with the proposed source; no single purity figure is assumed for every producer or application.

Specifications and buying requirements

Illustrative RFQ targets and purchasing requirements, subject to production or supply confirmation and buyer approval. These are not a stock COA or a universal grade. Specify the reporting basis, sampling and test method; the accepted offer defines the final quality and delivery limits. Illustrative RFQ parameters. The buyer must set the numerical composition and impurity limits for its process; chemical-grade and polymer-grade specifications are not interchangeable.

Applications

Common uses

Feedstock for suitable chemical derivative processes, potentially including oxo alcohols or other approved propylene conversions. The plant's feed requirements determine which offered grade can be used. Buying detail: Provide the required derivative, acceptable propane balance and any prohibited contaminants. Compare quotations on the same composition and quantity basis; a lower price per tonne of mixed stream may not mean a lower feedstock cost for your plant.

Shipping & logistics

Movement requires approved equipment for the actual cargo composition and an accepted receiving installation. Pipeline, suitable pressure-tank or gas-carrier options depend on the route and available capacity. The quotation specifies the Incoterm, named place or port, SDS, measurement basis and responsibilities for loading and receipt.
